After 30+ years in "Corporate America" over five years ago I started a new chapter in my Book of Life. The employer I had been with for 15 years suddenly eliminated my position and I found myself in the ranks of the unemployed. During the months of unemployment I discovered that real estate had always been a career that intrigued me. Whenever friends or family would relocate to the Atlanta area I was the one who eagerly volunteered to take them to find their new home. So with the encouragement of my family and an associate broker I took the plunge and studied to become a licensed real estate agent. And as they say, "the rest is history." I am enjoying the challenges and triumphs as a Realtor® in the current real estate market. When I entered real estate and had not experienced "a good market" so I also don't have the experience to know "the market is bad." I have experienced successful real estate transaction in the past two years and have developed relationships with clients that will last a lifetime.
I am a wife, mother of two grown men, and "Mimi" to two precious little granddaughters. They keep life fun and exciting. I am blessed to have my parents that live in the terrace level of my home and consider my daughter-in-law one of my best friends. I truly gained a daughter when she joined our family. My sister and brother-in-law moved to the Atlanta area a couple of years ago and, thanks to them they have been a great influence on my real estate career! I'm blessed to have such a great family.
I volunteered at Buford Elementary School in the classes for my oldest granddaughter and enjoyed it so much that I continued to help her former Kindergarten teacher for Writing Workshop. My youngest granddaughter will start Buford Elementary this coming Fall (2014) and I am excited to be able to start helping in her kindergarten class, too. When my two boys were younger I was a Kindergarten paraprofessional in their Elementary school and I had forgotten how much fun these kids are and what little "sponges of learning" they are, too! It has been a wonderful experience for me and my little princesses and they are both breezing through their elementary school years and they are growing up way too fast! Fun Fridays (what the oldest princess calls Friday afternoon and night) are when they come and spend the night at Mimi and Poppie's. Needless to say, it's the highlight of our week! However, now that they're getting older and more involved with their special friendships these days are becoming more infrequent. It just makes us appreciate our time with them even more.
If you are interested in buying or selling a home, or have a friend or family member who is, do you have a Realtor you'd refer them to? If not, I would love to be that person for you and would so appreciate it if you could give me call! I look forward to the opportunity to help you or your friends with any real estate need you may have. Concerned about the current market and how it has affected your property values? Make it a blessed day!
